Jet Aviation has signed a 30-year-lease with SR Aviation Infrastructure and Business Aviation Group to operate an FBO at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (KBJC).
Jet Aviation, a worldwide FBO service, was founded in Switzerland in 1967 and now has locations in Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas, which includes 12 locations in the U.S.
The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics with over 4,500 employees and 50 locations globally. Jet Aviation’s offerings include aircraft management, aircraft sales, completions, government programs, FBOs, maintenance, staffing, and charters with its fleet of more than 200 aircraft.
Construction of the facility at KBJC is scheduled to begin next year, with the FBO opening in 2028 as part of a newly developed aviation campus at the airport. According to Jet Aviation officials, the 15-acre location will feature a 7,500-square-foot FBO, with 70,000 square feet of hangar space and over 200,000 square feet of ramp on the south side of the airport.
The airport allows easy access to popular Rocky Mountain destinations such as Denver, Aspen, and Vail.

Bringing the Jet Aviation experience to Colorado is the latest step in this global offering, as we continue to look for opportunities to support our customers where and when they need us.”
David Best, Jet Aviation’s senior vice president of regional operations and Americas general manager, noted the strategic value of the location.
“With its proximity to both the city and surrounding ski areas, Rocky Mountain [Metropolitan] Airport continues to grow as a key hub for our U.S. and international customers,” Best said. “The facility will join a network of 12 FBOs in the region, and some 30 worldwide, enabling seamless connections for customers traveling to this popular destination. We look forward to working closely with our partners, the airport, and the local community to design and build a world-class FBO that brings our commitment to safety, operational excellence, and seamless, personalized service to Colorado.”
The facility will be part of a new aviation campus jointly developed by SR Aviation Infrastructure (SRAI) and Business Aviation Group (BA Group).

Iver Retrum, CEO of BA Group, said the project represents a meaningful step forward for the airport and the long-term development of the south side of the field.
“With Jet Aviation as the anchor FBO and SRAI joining as our partner, this campus has the opportunity to establish a new gateway for aviation activity at BJC,” Retrum said.
The airport currently sees approximately 200,000 operations per year.
“As the region continues to grow and economically prosper, there is a growing need for the aeronautical services.” said Erick Dahl, airport director at KBJC. “The party’s investment at the airport speaks to their confidence in the projected demand for FBO services and hangar space at RMMA. The FBO will be located on the southwest side of the airfield. This development represents the continued buildout of the Southwest Development Area after the construction of Pilatus’ Completion Center. This side of the airport has long been recognized in airport master plans as the next phase of development.”
